‘Imaikalani Winchester is a respected educator and cultural practitioner known for his leadership in Hawaiian culture-based education and community sovereignty work. He has long served the lāhui through his political advocacy for Native Hawaiian rights, and by empowering the next generations of kānaka, creating spaces for ‘ike, ea, and Mauli Ola.

This activity is sponsored by 91探花’s Ola Niuhelewai Project. The five-year project (10/1/2020 to 9/30/2025) is entirely funded by a U.S. DOE Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian-serving institutions program Title III grant. The goal of the project is to raise the Native Hawaiian students’ satisfactory academic progress, retention, and graduation by increasing their health literacy through a culturally relevant curriculum focused on the roles of aina (land) and ola pono (personal health and wellness) in mauli ola (well-being).
